Rendell: Kane Should Take Leave from AG’s Office
Kathleen Kane should step away from the attorney general’s office while she faces criminal charges, former Gov. Ed Rendell said today, but she shouldn’t necessarily resign outright.
Rendell made the comments in two tweets Wednesday morning.
If Kathleen Kane stepped down, she would be saying "I'm Guilty," but she strongly believes she is innocent.

I don't think Kane should have resigned, but it would be better for the office if she would have taken a Leave. Again, it's her decision.

Rendell has mostly kept silent since charges were filed against Kane. His longtime press aide, Chuck Ardo, went to work as Kane’s media handler in April.
