Remember when John Legend’s “All of Me” came out and every single couple who got married in the year that followed used it as their first dance song? (Some people—like locals Regina and Ramondo, Kim and Kanye and this California couple—even hired Legend to serenade them live on their Big Day.)
Don’t get me wrong: it’s a fantastic tune, especially for a first dance, but I think we can all agree that it quickly became the world’s most overplayed wedding song, yes? Yes.
While you’re more than welcome to go with one of the classics, we’re all for a first dance song that hasn’t been done a million times over. Take these 18 song suggestions for example; they’re just as lovely but they won’t elicit the “not this song again” reaction from your guests.
