The Couple: Samantha and Larry from Titusville, NJ.
The Ring: The ring is made from platinum and features a stunning center stone. It’s a two-prong setting that swirls around the diamond to keep it safe. The ring was designed by Diana Vincent in Washington Crossing, PA. Larry picked it out all by himself, but he knew I had my eye on this particular designer! I wanted something unique and modern, unlike all of the antique designs I’ve been inundated with recently. It’s simple and elegant and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. My favorite part is the fact that Diana’s workshop is local and they don’t mass-produce their jewelry; they custom make every single ring.
The Proposal: We were in Jamaica celebrating our four-year anniversary (of dating) and everyone was expecting for him to propose, but not me, because I didn’t think he’d risk traveling with such an expensive ring! The island was breathtaking, and the first few days there, people around the resort just assumed we were married already and kept calling me by his last name. One night when we were having dinner on the beach, he turned to me after ordering champagne and lobster (this place was known for their lobster) and referenced this adorable “Friends” episode. (I’m a “Friends” addict). Then he pulled out the ring and my heart was in my throat. It was difficult to eat after that, all we could do was just sit there and laugh and smile.
The Band: Diana Vincent has designed a band to curve alongside my engagement ring. I call it a “whisper of diamonds” that highlights my center stone. It’s a perfect fit, and I can’t wait to begin wearing it!
