RiverLink Ferry to Offer Service for Pope Visit

A way to cross the Delaware River without walking across a gigantic bridge.

There will be an easier way to cross the Delaware River during the weekend of the pope’s visit.

Instead of walking across the Ben Franklin Bridge, the RiverLink Ferry System will provide quick trips across the river on both days of the visit, for just $7 a ride. Two tickets must be purchased in advance — one from Philly to Camden, the other from Camden to Philly, both tickets for specific times — to participate. No walk-ups will be allowed; all tickets for the weekend will be pre-sold online.

Ferries will run every hour on the half-hour from Camden to Philly during the pope’s visit, from 7:30 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and Sunday. They’ll run every hour on the hour in the opposite direction during the same time.

1. What is the schedule for the RiverLink Ferry during the Papal visit?
Friday, September 25th: 10am to 7pm
Saturday, September 26th: 7:30am to Midnight
Sunday, September 27th: 7:30am to Midnight
Monday, September 28th: 7:30am to 1pm

2. Where can tickets be purchased?
Tickets for Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 can be purchased HERE. Please note that each credit card transaction is limited to 10 tickets per trip (20 tickets total for round trips).

3. How much is a ticket on Saturday and Sunday?
The tickets cost $7 in each direction for children and adults.

4. Are tickets round trip?
No. For RiverLink Ferry trips on Saturday and Sunday, visitors must purchase a departure and return trip ticket. Tickets are being sold by timed sailings on these days.

5.Are group rates available?
No.

6. Are walk up ticket sales available?
All tickets for Saturday and Sunday will be pre-sold online.

7. Where is parking?
There will be very limited parking available on the Camden Waterfront. Please see NJ Transit and SEPTA for information on how to best access the RiverLink Ferry terminals.
