When you order a cheesesteak for lunch at Pat’s King of Steaks today, don’t forget to ask for the truffled mushrooms.

Jose Garces is the latest Philly celebrity chef to whip up a decadent take on the classic cheesesteak, which will be available at Pat’s today, June 21st, from noon until 2 p.m.

Pat’s has teamed up with local chef luminaries before: the likes of Marc Vetri and Han Chiang have collaborated on special sandwiches for fundraisers in the past.

Today’s sandwich is inspired by Amada’s menu, with truffled mushrooms, Mahón fondue, and caramelized onions topping the classic Pat’s ribeye and roll. (It’s not the first time Pat’s has offered a cheesesteak with truffles as an ingredient: Back in 2015, owner Frank Olivieri bought a $2,500 white truffle at an auction and shaved it over steaks.)

The special Garces steaks will go for $10, and all proceeds will benefit the Spread the Wiz Foundation, a nonprofit started by Olivieri to support cooking and nutrition education programs for kids.
