The PPA’s Free Parking Saturdays Starts This Week

The city hopes you’ll come in to do your holiday shopping rather than stay at home and order from, well, you know.

Rejoice, rejoice: The Philadelphia Parking Authority’s holiday parking deal begins this week.

This Saturday until New Year’s Day, metered and kiosk parking in the city will be free on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and midnight.

The free parking parking special is meant to encourage people to come to the city to do their holiday shopping — rather than stay at home and order things on … well, Amazon. The deal doesn’t apply to residential parking blocks, though — time limits and all other parking regulations will still be in effect on those streets.

In addition to free metered/kiosk parking, PPA parking garages in Center City will offer an $8 flat rate charge for parking on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and midnight. Visit the management office for a discount validation ticket at the following garages:
