Drop what you are doing: The legendary down-to-earth Broadway diva Audra McDonald is coming to Philly this October, and tickets went on sale today.

The singing actress, who is a super staunch LGBTQ supporter, is playing a one-night only show at the Merriam Theater on October 7th at 8 pm. She’ll be joined by the fabulous Seth Rudetsky on the piano. McDonald, who is the winner of a record-breaking six Tony Awards, will be bringing her signature style to the concert. She’ll also be returning to the Great White Way in 2016 in the new musical Shuffle Along, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed.

Trust me: I was in attendance at McDonald’s last Philadelphia concert several years ago at the Kimmel Center, and it is not to be missed.

Tickets, which range from $25-129, can be purchased by visiting the Kimmel Center’s website.
