Man’s Body Found Along Delaware River

It's the second in the last week. Police are investigating.

On Sunday afternoon, someone out for a leisurely stroll along the Delaware River discovered something decided un-leisurely: A dead body.

It happened on Augustine Beach in Middletown, Delaware, less than an hour south of Philadelphia International Airport. Delaware State Police say that a person walking down the beach found the body washed up on the shore. All police are saying at this point is that it is the body of a man. Identity and cause of death have yet to be determined.

The discovery came just days after a man’s body was found on the shore of the Delaware River in Burlington Township, New Jersey. That man was later identified as Jamie Perez of Trenton. He was homeless, according to police. The medical examiner determined that his death was an accidental drowning.
