[UPDATE] Nothing Suspicious Found on Philly-Bound Plane From Ireland


UPDATE: The plane and its 171 passengers were searched, and nothing suspicious was found, according to Newsworks.  A search is now on for the person who called in.

FBI Special Agent Michael J. Messenger, who heads the domestic terrorism squad, said a search is on for the person who called in the threat.

“There could be substantial charges,” he said. “We have to work with the U.S. Attorney’s office

A plane from Ireland is landing in Philadelphia after a threat, according to Philadelphia police.

Police are not sure at this point what they are dealing with, if anything. They said the threat, which is unsubstantiated, was called in by an unknown male.

This is not an emergency landing. US Air Flight #723 was schedule to land at Philadelphia International today at 1:45 p.m.
