Chip Kelly Is Ninth Highest-Paid Coach in America

Chip Kelly, who has won as many games for the Eagles as you have, is the ninth highest-paid coach in all of American sports. CBS Philly reports:

Andy Reid and Chip Kelly both appear in a recent Forbes list of the top ten highest paid coaches in Americansports. Reid, who was fired as head coach of the Eagles in January and was hired by the Chiefs days later, is tied for second on the list with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick with a 2013 salary of $7.5 million, and Kelly is 9th on the list and will make $6.5 million in his first year as an NFL head coach.

Charlie Manuel, who actually brought a championship to Philly—and who coaches roughly 10 times as many games a year as any NFL coach—is not on the list. Kelly’s clock-management skills better be awfully good.
