It’s Official: Barry’s Bootcamp Will Open This November in Rittenhouse

And a popular Philly fitness pro is joining the Barry’s team.

Popular boutique fitness chain Barry’s Bootcamp announced in May that it was coming to Philadelphia. Five months later, we finally know when the studio will open. / Photograph courtesy of Barry’s Bootcamp.

This past May, Barry’s Bootcamp announced the fitness studio would soon call Philadelphia home. Unsurprisingly, y’all went wild. After all, Barry’s HIIT workout is highly sought-after, so well-liked that many of us make it a point to work up a sweat (a LOT of sweat) in its signature Red Room when we’re visiting a city lucky enough to have a Barry’s studio.

At the time of the announcement, though, nobody, not even the Barry’s team, was sure when the Philly studio would open. All we knew was that they were breaking ground in Rittenhouse. And so we waited in eager anticipation for nearly five months, hoping more good news would come our way.

Today, your patience pays off because Barry’s Bootcamp let us at Be Well Philly know that the Philly studio is officially slated to open this November. While a specific date is still under wraps (womp womp), it’s a relief to know we only have to wait a few more weeks for the boutique fitness chain to be a mainstay in the city. Hell to the yeah.

But that’s not all! The Philly location will have something — or should we say someone — that no other Barry’s has. Ryan Lewis, the popular senior instructor at SoulCycle, announced on Instagram that he’ll be one of the main instructors. “Philly, I’ve spent the past 3.5 years helping you find your SOUL. That’s not stopping,” Lewis shared. “But now. I can’t wait to help you find your BODY. I’m off to @barrysbootcamp instructor training to become one of the Founding Instructors for Barry’s Philadelphia! See you soon in the Red Room.”

Another opportunity to get your cardio and strength training on with Lewis? We can’t wait. We have a feeling late fall in Philadelphia is going to be very, very good (and sweatier than anticipated).

Barry’s Bootcamp will be located at 1911 Sansom Street in Rittenhouse.
