Meet the 2018 Be Well Philly Health Hero Challenge Semifinalists

Vote for your favorite Health Hero starting September 4.

It’s that time of year again, folks: Time for the Be Well Philly Health Hero Challenge, sponsored by Independence Blue Cross! Thanks to all of the (hundreds!) of you who submitted nominees for this year’s challenge. After pouring through many, many spectacular submissions, our editorial team has narrowed it down to 10 semifinalists, the people who are doing great work to make our communities healthier.

Now that we’ve made our selections, it’ll soon be your chance to make yours! Starting September 4, the voting on this year’s semifinalists will open, which means you get to help us determine the top three finalists. Of those top three, the winner will receive a $10,000 donation to the charity of their choice, while the two runners-up will receive $2,500 to the charities of their choices. The voting will take place here, so, yeah, we’d go ahead and bookmark that page now — especially since you’ll be able to vote once every 24 hours. (Which means you can vote for your favorite semifinalists again and again and again…).

While we’re planning on rolling out some blog posts over the next couple of weeks to get you better acquainted with each of the 10 semifinalists, we’re ready to spill the beans on who made the list. Below, find the this year’s Be Well Philly Health Hero Challenge semifinalists.
