Listen up, Rocky lovers: Charge Performance and Wellness, the new Bella Vista gym we told you guys about a little while back, has hit the ground running (quite literally) with a slew of upcoming events, including an evening inspired by Philly’s very own Rocky Balboa.

Charge owner Charles Scogna has teamed up with the gal behind your favorite 50K (That would be the Rocky 50K, duh), Rebecca Barber, for a $15 evening of fitness that benefits Open Streets PHL. Yep, the same folks who helped make Philly’s first, just-announced open streets event a reality (!!!!!!). (We’re a little excited about that, in case you can’t tell.)

The Rocky event will go down on Tuesday, July 19th and participants dressed up in grey workout clothes (it’s a bit hot for a sweat suit, so anything grey will do) and red headbands, naturally, will meet at Charge at 6:30 p.m. The workout will start with a run, working in part of the Rocky 50K route, then folks will head back to Charge for a sweat session. Then, the night will finish with an information session on Open Streets PHL. They’ll also be taking shoe donations for Back on My Feet, an organization that fights homelessness through running. And get this: The entire shebang will be captured in videos and photos taken by drone. Coveted drone-caught Instagram photo, here you come.

You can sign up for the Rocky-inspired evening here. And if you can’t make it on the the 19th, the good news is Charge is hosting a slew of other events, a bunch of them free, over the next few weeks (including a boot camp at the Art Museum Steps tomorrow!) that you can check out instead. You can find out more about those on their schedule here.
