To Do: The Philly 10K Preview Run and Launch Party

Calling all Philadelphia runners: registration for Philly’s brand spankin’ new race, the Philly 10K, opens Monday. Eeeeee! And to celebrate, Philadelphia Runner is throwing a launch party. So tell Netflix you won’t be able hang out Monday night; you’ve got better plans.

The party will kick off with a 3-mile fun run along part of the 10K course, giving folks a sneak peek of the big race to come. Then, post sweat-session, runners will cool off in a bar along the course, and this is where the real fun begins: everyone who shows proof of registration will get a nice, cold, free (!) Philadelphia Brewing Company beer, New Balance will be doling out swag and—if you weren’t lucky enough to snag a spot in the race, you’ve still got a chance— an entry to The Philly 10K will be raffled off.

To join in on the fun, all you’ve got to do is head over to Philadelphia Runner’s Sansom Street store, running shoes laced up, at 6 p.m. on Monday. And remember, this race is limited to 3,000 runners, meaning: spots are going to go quick. So if you are dying to run this race (what Philly runner isn’t?), make sure to register early. You can even sign up to receive email alerts before registration opens, here. Better safe than sorry, right?

You can get more info on Monday’s launch party and RSVP for the event here.
