In Mauckingbird Theatre Company’s queer adaptation of the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, Frederic and Mabel meet on the high seas and instantly fall for each other, but no one can fathom “the strangeness of their heterosexual love” — including Mabel’s father, the Major-General.
