Stefani Burket is a professional licensed cosmetologist specializing in on-location editorial, and bridal hair and makeup styling. She’s known for her boho braids and naturally elevated makeup. We love her preference for using vegan and cruelty-free products, as well as her work to spread positivity through her career; in fact, Burket says she has pulled back on social media because “there is a great deal of toxicity on the platform, and we want to keep our business focus on helping people feel confident on their best day.” Burket is booking for 2022 and beyond. The award-winning group takes a less-is-more mentality, working with clients to highlight their natural qualities. DuHaime, who was a lead artist for BHLDN at the 2018 New York Bridal Fashion Week and has worked with clients such as Samsung, Target, Planet Fitness and David’s Bridal, is a hair stylist, makeup artist and licensed cosmetologist. Owner Allison McAllister got married in the middle of a rare October snowstorm. The frenetic day drove her to start a biz that offers a calm, fun morning of easy-breezy hair and makeup prep, even when something unexpected comes your way. With Something You, clients are always given a morning timeline and beauty schedule for the wedding. A full range of brow, lash and body-waxing services are offered in studio (and clients receive special pricing at the salon), though on-location options are available with travel included within 25 miles of Wayne. Industry veteran Victoria Roggio opened her namesake boutique spa in Old City in May, complete with three rooms for body and face treatments and a host of brow, bridal hair and makeup and nail services. (She calls it a one-stop shop for all of your beauty needs.) Expect a large menu of facials, massages and wraps — including a head-to-toe bridal prep complete with a body exfoliation, a hand massage, and a deep-hydrating treatment with Biologique Recherche. Otherwise, the signature Bridal Ritual features two hours of makeup consultation prior to the wedding with Roggio as well as a beauty box with curated skincare products (cleanser, eye cream and more). Hair and makeup trials take place at the studio or on location — pro photos are snapped at the end so you know your final look ahead of time. With Shimmer and Spice, which shares a warehouse studio with Clover Event Co., Haley Richter Photography and RAM Floral, the makeup artist and her team take a natural-glam approach to beauty. They work with clients to understand their personal style and wedding-day ambience to achieve a look that accentuates their features. YMK Aesthetics blends creative directing and makeup artistry under the experienced eye of Yumi Kim, who cites her childhood love of drawing as one of the reasons she went into the industry. The independent artist and medical esthetician specializes in Asian beauty, but she works with all clients to achieve their vision. In addition to wedding makeup, she also offers keratin lash lifts and tints, eyelash extensions and dermaplaning, along with treatments like BB Glow, LED light therapy, microdermabrasion and facials. With Ariel Katrina Hair, which Young began in 2012, she says she’s able to do what she loves most — connect with her clients and make them feel gorgeous on their wedding days. The on-location hair guru (who provides trial runs in her studio) and her stylists are skilled at everything from intricate braids to retro waves, and keep up on education and the latest looks. The first question Rosa Martinez asks her wedding clients is: “What are you most comfortable with?” From there, she works with you to figure out what style will preserve that sense of ease, while also complementing your makeup, attire and accessories. As a former student at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Moore College of Art, Martinez took her passion for painting and transitioned it into hair artistry. She and her team work together to help bring your vision to life, immersing themselves in all the little details of the day, from curl length to hairspray brand. Philly’s Artur Kirsh and New York’s Joel Warren late last year opened The Salon Project at Saks Fifth Avenue, offering luxury hair styling for you and your wedding party both in studio and on location. Kirsh specializes in coloring and dry cutting, and has worked with celebs like Celine Dion and Nicole Miller. Warren’s clientele? Sarah Jessica Parker and Zoe Kravitz, among others.
