Valley Forge National Historical Park

“We love this park and with all the beautiful colors changing in the fall, it makes for a perfect sunset spot! The park is large and it’s easy to feel completely secluded while the city rushes around you, which is why we suggest this location for our couples.” — The Hursts & Co.

Tyler State Park

“With 1,711 acres in a wooded and farmland setting, it is the perfect location for our adventurous style. We love to get off the beaten path and just wander around with our couples stopping wherever we find that perfect light!” — BG Productions Photography & Videography

Mount Moriah Cemetery

“Established in 1855, Mount Moriah Cemetery was once the most elite of the Victorian cemeteries – even Betsy Ross was once interred there. Unfortunately, the 200-acre cemetery has fallen into ruin since closing and there is no current ownership. The once grand memorials are now disappearing as nature reclaims them and it’s a truly special place to explore before it’s gone completely.” — Black, White and Raw Photography

Wissahickon Valley Park

“The Wissahickon is one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions and come fall you really can’t beat the backdrop created by all those dense summer greens shifting into coppery autumn shades!” — Emily Wren Photography

Rodin Museum

“Philadelphia’s Rodin Museum is a perfect blend of cityscape and nature, with its beautiful trees, sculptures, gardens and reflecting pools. We love this location for fall engagement sessions as it gives a wonderful range of foliage and art, and no matter if the couple is wearing fall casual or going for a more formal dress style, it just works!” — Benjamin Deibert Photography

Benjamin Franklin Parkway

The mix of unique backgrounds for photos is perfect for engagement photos including Logan Circle and the Rodin Museum. This photo of then engaged (now married) couple of Kara and Adam was something we stumbled upon as we walked down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway at sunset. Blurry in the background is the Moore College of Art, where Kara received a scholarship in high school to study art. She is now a children’s book illustrator and author as well as an art teacher.” — Star Field Wedding Photography

Waterworks

“It offers so much in terms of architecture, landmarks and greenery combined and is the perfect location for any time of the year really.” — Daniel Fugaciu Photography

Awbury Arboretum

“Awbury is a hidden gem in Germantown, Philadelphia. I love shooting here because it is easy to get to, in the city, open to the public, and features so many great backdrops for a seasonal shoot.  I could spend all day here (and have!) just exploring the grounds and identifying all of the plants. Go at sunset for the best light!” — Love Me Do Photography

PHS Pop Up Beer Gardens

“We love using PHS Pop Up Gardens for engagement sessions in the fall. The gardens are thoughtfully designed and have a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Plus, a round of pumpkin beers helps everyone feel more comfortable in front of the camera.” — Sweetwater Portraits

The Mütter Museum

“The Mütter Museum (at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia) is a striking, totally unique backdrop, perfect for couples who want to infuse glamour into their photos. Around each corner you’ll find distinct textures and architectural features that make it feel like several locations in one – from the dramatic marble staircase, to rooms full of mahogany, and an herb garden just outside.” — Sylvie Rosokoff

Lake Nockamixon

A hidden gem just a short drive north, Lake Nockamixon is a favorite among Bucks County residents. With the natural park setting which becomes absolutely breathtaking in the fall along with the beautiful lake views,  the gorgeous boat marina and stunning sunsets, this location is perfect for fall engagement sessions.” — Ardita Kola Photography
