Where to Get Customized Cookies for Your Wedding in Philly

Beautiful, tasty and personalized. What more can you ask for?

At the risk of setting off your sweet tooth (we apologize in advance), our topic of conversation for today is cookies. Here at PW, we’re perfectly happy to snack on crunchy confections of all varieties, but when it comes to weddings, we’re partial to the decorated sugar cookies that make for pretty party favors, treats at your bridal shower, or a fun way to ask your best girls to be your ‘maids.

We’ve seen these adorable cut-out cookies in all shapes, sizes, and designs—like stamped with your monogram or in the shape of something that you and your groom both love—and they’re perhaps one of our favorite ways to say “thank you” to your guests for being a part of your special day. Plus, we’re sure everyone in attendance will appreciate an edible favor as a midnight snack or a hangover cure the next day.

Luckily Philly is in no way lacking when it comes to bakeries who can whip up these yummy creations for your wedding. Take a look at the local shops we’ve rounded up below; we guarantee their cookies will be a sweet reminder of your Big Day.

Maybe a Cookie Will Help

Where: Hatboro
What: If you’re looking for a sweet but classy way to ask your besties to be your bridesmaid, these cookies will definitely help — the custom bakery even features a “Be my Bridesmaid” cookie set. Whatever reason you want the cookies for, the Maybe a Cookie Will Help shapes and designs are bound to dazzle.

The Flour Pot

Where: 75 East Butler Pike, Ambler
What: This suburban cookie boutique is known for its endless array of creative shapes and bright colors, so it’s no surprise that everyone from Oprah to Al Roker are fans. From favors shaped like wedding gowns and diamond rings to a huge selection of “will you be my bridesmaid?” designs, you may have trouble deciding exactly which ones to display at your affair.

Park Avenue Pastries

Where: 211 Forest Park Drive, Chalfont
What: Custom cookies are the stars of this Bucks County bakery where there’s no shortage of wedding-themed designs to choose from. Wedding dresses, tuxedos, and three-tiered cakes are just a few of the many options here, and they’ll even bake up custom place cards that double as favors too.

South Avenue Sweets

Where: Wyncote
What: What began as a passion for baking and decorating has turned into a full-time operation for South Avenue Sweets’s Lisa Hesbacher. And while she has quite a few examples of pretty favor ideas for your Big Day (like monogrammed hearts and Mr. & Mrs. wedding cars) Hesbacher is always eager to hear your vision and create something that fits your day perfectly.

Vanilya Bakery

Where: 1611 East Passyunk Avenue, Passyunk Square
What: Bonnie Sarana Noll’s Passyunk Square bakery opened in April of 2014 and her elaborate cakes and cookies are not to be missed. Vanilya’s hand decorated treats can take on any design you have in mind, whether you choose to top them with a photo of you and your guy or opt for a creative shape accented by fondant and colorful sanding sugar.

Whipped Bakeshop

Where: 636 Belgrade Street, Fishtown
What: Whipped Bakeshop’s custom vanilla shortbread cookies are a sight to be seen — not only are they super delicious, but they’re so pretty that you’ll have to take a picture before scarfing them down. No pattern, shape, or design is too out-of-the-box for the bakers here, but if you’re lacking inspiration, they have a great selection of wedding-related cookies for you to choose from (like their bachelorette booty cookies!).
