Mari’s dress had a French bustle, which, for those who don’t bustle dresses often, is rather complicated and time consuming. There were a lot of color-coded ribbons that needed to be matched up—and there may have even been a map from the dress boutique involved in putting it all together. After finally completing the bustle, Mari’s mom (on the right) and godmother gave each other a well-deserved high five in congratulations.
