We know, we know; of course you’re gonna be watching the Super Bowl next Sunday. But before the big game, there’s the Puppy Bowl, the furrocious competition in which Team Ruff and Team Fluff go snout-to-snout in battle for the Lombarky Trophy. It’s not just fun and games, either; all the pups are rescue doggos, and the annual Animal Planet showcase, airing this year at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 12th, highlights the big hearts of rescue shelters and workers from across the country. Including, naturally, some local stars! Like team leader Tailen Hurts:

He’s from our very own Brandywine Valley SPCA in West Chester, as are fellow contestants Daisy:

And Ireland:

And, last but far from least, Tia, who’s definitely built like a wide receiver:

From the Center for Animal Health & Welfare in Easton, keep your eyes peeled for Pierogi:

From Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue in Perkasie, the pick of the litter is Ritz:

And repping Media’s Providence Animal Center, we have the aptly named Chaos:

Along with Gordon:

Finally, Feasterville’s own Wet Nose Rescue offers up Amanda:

We hear she’s tougher than she looks. So get your paws on the remote, and check out these and all the other Puppy Bowl contestants on Super Bowl Sunday!
