The Best Thing That Happened This Week: The Sixers Added Some Height

Now they have a whole team's worth of centers. Hooray!

Just how short is Sixers owner Josh Harris, anyway? The reason we ask is that on Thursday, at the trade deadline, his team acquired six-foot-nine center Joel Anthony. The byzantine workings of NBA trade and salary-cap rules are far too complex for our weak little brain. But we do know this: If you stacked Anthony atop the centers the Sixers already have — six-foot-11-inch Jahlil Okafor, seven-foot mythological creature Joel Embiid, recent six-foot-nine acquisition Elton Brand  and six-eleven Nerlens Noel — he’d be able to fix the shingles from our roof that the last storm blew down.
