Video: Greedy Thief Steals Four Bikes on Bainbridge Street

He squeezes by a parking garage grate.

Last week, we told you about a man who walked off with a police bike from the lobby of a building in Center City. Well, this new bike thief may not have stolen a police bike, but he was still pretty daring — or at least greedy.

In the video released by police, the suspect squeezes by a garage grate on the 700 block of Bainbridge Street in the Bella Vista section of Philadelphia on December 18th just before midnight and pops out shortly thereafter with a bike. Then he comes back and does it again, and again — for a grand total of four bikes in one night.

Police describe the suspect as follows: “White male, 20-30 years-of-age, 6’0″, thin build, trimmed beard, wearing a black knit hat, gray hooded sweatshirt, gloves, blue jeans, and tan boots.”

The bikes stolen were a gray L.L. Bean mountain bike, a blue ten-speed Giant, a white Simoncini racing bike, and a black ten-speed Diamond.
