“Spending next week rehearsing like crazy for the Olympic closing ceremony,” George Michael tweeted. The pop star is among a roster of talent scheduled to perform at the closing ceremony of the games in London on Sunday (Aug. 12).

The U.K. native has been keeping fans and Twitter followers updated on the latest news about the concert: “Obviously a bit nervous not having played for nearly a year, but rehearsals sounding great so far!”

Joining Michael, at least as far as speculated rumors, will be a reunion of the Spice Girls, One Direction and Muse. The Who and Take That are also expected to perform.

“It’s been all over the press for weeks,” Michael tweeted, “and I think you alll needed to be put out of your misery!”

In London’s Hyde Park, a second concert will also be taking place with New Order, Blur, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Specials.
