Trees Replace the Joe Paterno Statue

A row of trees has been planted in the spot outside of Penn State’s Beaver Stadium, where a statue of Joe Paterno once stood. The statue (and it’s accompanying rock wall and lettering) was taken down in the wake of the fallout from the scandal surrounding Jerry Sandusky’s sexual abuse of young boys. The university has not disclosed the current location of the Paterno statue. [Centre Daily Times]
