Philadelphia Apartment Guide

For $1,500 a month, you can live in one of the best neighborhoods in Philadelphia.

Northern Liberties

Front to 5th, Spring Garden to Germantown Avenue

The Space:
A new-ish-construction one-bedroom/souped-up dorm at Liberties Walk or in the Piazza.

The Neighbors:
Recent college grads, first-time city renters.

The Perks:
Liberty Lands Park. 2nd Street shopping and dining (clothes at Arcadia, gifts at Art Star, grub at Green Eggs). And yes, finally there’s a supermarket.

The Drawbacks:
As buzzed-about as this ‘hood is, gentrification here is still ongoing. Crime is an issue.

For a Little More:
One of Bart Blatstein’s renovated single-family homes on American Street.
