Philadelphia Apartment Guide

For $1,500 a month, you can live in one of the best neighborhoods in Philadelphia.

Bella Vista

6th to 11th, South to Washington Avenue

The Space:
A one- or two-bedroom in an old brick walk-up, or an updated condo sublet.

The Neighbors:
Single 20- and 30-somethings, hipsters with nine-to-fives, first-time homebuyers, families with young kids, dog lovers.

The Perks:
Cute pocket parks: Cianfrani, Palumbo, Bardascino (a bocce court!). Plus, easy weekday dining, and easily the best Santucci’s outpost.

The Drawbacks:
Weekend brunch crowds outside Sabrina’s and Morning Glory, and Italian Market tourist run-off. No easy access to public transit.

For a Little More:
Sparse inventory between $1,500 and $2,500, but the jump rents you a house with deck and patio spaces, plus parking.
