Friday, Dec. 23
Check out Tantrum Tonic + Evil V: World of Sound (8 p.m.) at the Random Tea Room on Fourth Street with low-key beats and ambient sounds to celebrate Winter Solstice.
Sara Sherr of Sing Your Life Karaoke and the Dumpsta Players is celebrating her birthday at Tritone (9 p.m.) with DJ’s Chatty Cathy and Lauren. Happy birthday, Sara!
Woody’s is thanking local non-profits for all their hard work this year with an appreciation party (9 – 11 p.m.) with a complimentary open bar and a chance to dance, mix and mingle with other leaders from Philly’s LGBT community. Please RSVP to Matt@WoodysBar.com.
ICandy is hosting a full weekend of holiday events kicking off with “Homo for the Holidays” (10 p.m.) for those 18 and older. Look for a slew of drink specials and naughty (and nice) entertainment.
ComedySportz presents a Very Special Ladies & Gentlemen Christmas Special (10 p.m.) at the Adrienne Theatre with music, sketches and audience participation.
Saturday, Dec. 24
Starting at midnight, DJ Robert Drake (of Sex Dwarf and Bottoms Up) begins his 24 hours of non-stop holiday music during The Night Before on WXPN. You’ll find it at 88.5 on the FM dial in Philly, as well as streaming online through noon on Sunday.
Congregation Beth Ahavah hosts a Christmas Eve Food Fest and Hanukkah Party at Rodeph Shalom (2 p.m.).
Matisyahu plays the TLA (7 p.m.) with his signature Hasidic reggae.
ICandy celebrates with “Unwrapped: The Night Before Christmas” (10 p.m.) where Santa will stuff your, um, stocking with free gift giveaways and a free buffet with plenty of drink specials.
The Universalist Unitarian Church of Delaware County has Christmas Eve mass (10 p.m.) at St. Mary’s of Grace Parish in Media. The candlelight mass will include carols and light bites afterwards.
Sunday, Dec. 25
Visit the National Museum of American Jewish History‘s annual “Being Jewish at Christmas” (10 a.m.) with live music for kids, an interactive show and a Hanukkah celebration.
ICandy hosts its “Naughty or Nice Xmas Party” (10 p.m.) with dancing, drink specials and a sexy Santa costume contest with lots of cash giveaways and prizes. Brittany Lynn and her drag mafia will also be performing.
