Jersey Cable Guy Finds Bear in Basement

A cable guy in Jersey made a house call to a customer in Sussex County. When he went into the basement to work on the cable, he heard a growling sound. He thought the noise was coming from upstairs until he turned the corner and saw a 500 pound black bear. State Fish and Wildlife officers came and shot the bear with a tranquilizer dart so that eight men could lift it onto a truck to be transported safely. [Inquirer]
