Kim Delaney’s Bizarre Behavior at Constitution Center

The lowlight of the Liberty Medal ceremony

It was strange enough that rehab-graduate and B-list actress Kim Delaney was on the list of speakers honoring former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates last night at the Constitution Center’s Liberty Medal ceremony. But then she got on stage. The 49-year-old Philadelphia native, who is, perhaps, best known for being hot-and-heavy with Bobby Simone on NYPD Blue (man, I wish that show was still on, especially after watching Prime Suspect last night), appeared disheveled and disoriented. Actually, that’s putting it lightly. Frankly, she looked like one of Jesse’s meth-head friends on Breaking Bad as she struggled to make it through a minutes-long, scripted speech that was eventually interrupted by a production assistant who pulled her from the stage mid-sentence—and not a moment too soon. In the speech, Delaney also paid tribute to her father, a Korean War vet, who I imagine is an incredibly proud papa this morning.

Missed it? Fear not. Here’s the video from TMZ.
