New and Notable: Aneu

Okay, so this is a little confusing. Remember Meridith’s, the popular Berwyn BYO? Well, they now have a full bar, a revamped menu and a new name, so you might think that the “Aneu” is a not very clever spelling of anew. But no, it turns out that aneu is Greek for “without,” so … we give up. What you need to know is that the kitchen starts off slow and finishes big, so while your truffle fries and calamari may be lackluster, things will get better by the time the seafood, meat and pasta entrées arrive.
