The Wall Street Journal reports that the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia reported yesterday that manufacturing activity is booming in the Mid-Atlantic region, with big boosts for factories in hiring, ordering and shipments. To which the Scoop says: Great news! Now, what factories are those again? (He would have said, “McDonald’s is a burger factory, right?” But someone already made that comment on WSJ. See? Business execs are funny too!)
