You probably already know that CBD is in freaking everything in Philly — spa treatments, salves, Sip-N-Glo juice. But it’s not just local companies that are pushing the cannabis compound. The average Philadelphian is clamoring for the non-psychoactive substance, too.

That’s partly why Sip-N-Glo Juicery has decided to offer CBD as an optional add-in for all its juices and smoothies. The juice maverick launched a CBD-infused flavor, Glo Easy, in December, but now you can add 15 milligrams of CBD to any of the company’s drinks for an additional $2.50. Sip-N-Glo’s version of the compound is water-soluble, so it should stir easily into your beverage of choice, whether that’s the earthy Heart Beet or the soothing Recovery coconut water. CBD joins a long list of other “superfood” extras on Sip-N-Glo’s menu, including everything from cashews and goji berries to cacao powder and Greek yogurt.

General manager Julia Feldbaum says Sip-N-Glo had a few reasons for giving the trendy ingredient more of a presence on its menu. A big one was how much customers loved Glo Easy, to the point that they were already requesting more CBD options. Plus, the company has always let sippers tailor their drinks to the specific health benefits each is seeking — and didn’t want to make folks choose between the chill vibes associated with CBD and, say, the Flu Fighter’s immunity-boosting properties. Note that CBD has only been FDA-approved to treat two specific kinds of epilepsy, so it might not give you the calming effects or pain relief you’re searching for. (Or it might, but more research needs to be done on CBD in order for us to say it will definitely do that for you.) Our recommendation? Test out the CBD supplement yourself at one of Sip-N-Glo’s three locations: 932 South Street, 257 South 20th Street, and 1700 Sansom Street.
