Welcome to Run Week at Be Well Philly! Every day, we’ll bring you the best and the latest on how and where to run around Philadelphia. Stay tuned for more great running articles all week long!

As much as we love the challenge of a long-distance run, there’s a lot to be said for 5Ks. You don’t have to spend as much time training, they’re quick and family-friendly — and some of them come with insanely fun themes, mid-race pit stops, and finish-line celebrations.

Below, find 12 area races that provide all of the above — and then some.
