PHS Pop Up Garden (With Free Yoga!) Coming to Comcast Center Next Week

If you work anywhere near the Comcast Center, your lunch breaks are about to get a whole lot prettier — at least for a few days: Next week, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society will be taking over Comcast Center’s West Plaza, at 18th Street and JFK Boulevard, and covering it with hyacinths, daffodils, wheat grass, river birch trees, and more for their Comcast Cares Day Pop Up Garden. And to kick the week of pop-up garden fun off, they’ll be hosting two free yoga classes at the garden during lunch hours! Yes, please.

The pop-up garden, open to the public, will run from from Monday, April 25th through Friday, April 29th, with free BYO-mat yoga — open to anyone, no need to sign up — happening on Monday at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The yoga classes are first-come, first-served, with a limit of 35 people each, so you might want to show up early. (After all, arriving a few minutes early to wait for a yoga class to start in a pop-up garden surrounded by flowers really isn’t all that bad.)

If you can’t make it to yoga, the garden will be open to the public throughout the week — and we can guarantee it will serve as a more scenic lunch spot than your cubicle.
