The New Vegan Cafe for Fitness Junkies to Flock To
Vegans, rejoice! Heart Beet Kitchen, a new grab-and-go and sit-down vegan and gluten-free cafe in the Westmont, New Jersey, is having its grand opening this Saturday, April 2nd. And let me tell you: This spot is about to be a favorite for fitness lovers.
As owner Ashley Coyne tells us, the gluten-free, plant-based cafe has been serving up grub like Sriracha Tempeh Tacos and Zucchini Noodles (topped with eggplant “meatballs” — yum!), plus freshly made cold-pressed juices and smoothies since December. But they are having their grand opening — where they’ll debut a full menu complete with tons of new dishes and drinks — on Saturday, and they’ve got lots of fun stuff lined up for both healthy eaters and the fitness community in the future.
To start: Beginning this Saturday and going through the month of May, Lululemon Cherry Hill will be holding free yoga classes in the cafe, located at 29 Haddon Avenue, every Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. (And yes, the cafe does offer brunch for your post-yoga refueling needs). Then, starting Thursday, April 7th, the cafe will be holding a weekly run club, meeting at Heart Beet at 6:30 p.m. and taking a five-mile loop around town, landing back at the cafe.
At their grand opening, which will kick off at 9 a.m. with the first Lululemon yoga class of the series, Coyne tells me they’ll also be holding a raffle with prizes like class passes from local gyms and fitness studios, plus handing out tons of free samples. Soooo, how many of our lovely fitness-junkie friends are penciling a trip to Heart Beet Kitchen into your calendars? Thought so.
