This weekend’s events might take the cake for the most eclectic mix ever: From a zero-mile run and a bird-watching nature walk to free hot yoga and a two-hour dance class on steroids, there’s plenty to keep you busy.

1. Philly 0.0 Instant Gratification Run
When: Friday, February 6th, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Where: XFinity Live, 1100 Pattison Avenue, Stadium Complex.

You won’t actually have to run for this race: The total mileage clocks in at 0.0. Runners will cross a ceremonial start/finish to complete the “run,” then head indoors for the main event, an after party with all the post-race trimmings. Expect free food, a free beer (drink specials after), live music and a DJ, as well as typical race accoutrements like a long-sleeve t-shirt and race bib. If you actually want to run, there will be a pre-party three-mile fun run through FDR Park led by ODDyssey Half Marathon race director Carl Ewald; it kicks off at 6. It’s $35 for the whole shebang.

2. Free Hot Yoga Class
When: Saturday, February 7th from 4 to 5 p.m.
Where: Priya Hot Yoga, 1828 Callowhill Street, Fairmount.

The latest installment of Lululemon Walnut Street’s free community classes kicks off this weekend at Priya Hot Yoga, running weekly through April 25th. Classes are held in a room heated to 95 degrees, and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Mat and towel rentals are available.

3. Taste of Philly Dance Fitness
When: Sunday, February 8th from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Where: 1170 South Broad Street, South Philly.

If you’ve ever wondered what a workout at Philly Dance Fitness is all about, you’re in luck: This weekend, PDF is hosting a sampler class, featuring Zumba, Cardio Pop, House Party Fitness Hip-Hop, Jazz Tech, Power Jam and other of its signature programs. The two-hour event includes post-workout refreshments — which is good, because you’re going to need them. The class costs $30.

4. The Chili Run
When: Sunday, February 8th at 10 a.m.
Where: Carolina Blue Restaurant, 692 Lambs Road, Pitman.

Last month’s Chili Run was so popular that organizers added a second date. Runners complete a chilly (get it?) two-mile run and are treated to piping hot bowls of chili and a beer afterward. There will be post-run music and drink specials at Carolina Blue. Runners also get tech shirts, and awards are given out for top finishers. It’s $35 to participate.

5. Bird-Watching Nature Walk
When: Saturday, February 7th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Meet at Pennypack on the Delaware Park, State Road near Rhawn Street. The group will meet at the gazebo on the river.

This will definitely be the most unique thing you do all weekend. Take a stroll through Pennypack Park with BirdPhilly, a local bird-watching club that hosts expert-led outings. The hike will start at Pennypack on the Delaware Park, where you’ll peep goldeneye, canvasback, scaup, great cormorant and American tree sparrow, among other birds common this time of year. From there, you’ll hop in the car and head off to Glen Foerd and Pleasant Hill Park to look for unusual gulls, such as Iceland and lesser-black backed. The event is free.

6. Raw Is Sexy Recipe Demo
When: Saturday, February 7th at 10 a.m.
Where: Nourish Juice Bar and Cafe, 148 West State Street, Kennett Square.

If you read the local blog Raw Is Sexy, plan to make a trip to Kennett Square this weekend, where blogger/nutritionist/personal trainer Lauren DeYenno will be setting up shop for a veggie-fueled demo and meet-and-greet. The event is free.
