To Do: Marathon Training Seminar

Newbie or old pro—everyone can benefit from this info session before tackling 26.2

Thinking about registering for the Philly Marathon in November? For first-timers, running a marathon is not only daunting but can be dangerous without careful preparation. Head out to the Helen Kate Furness Library in Wallingford on September 12th for Dr. David Webner’s seminar “More Than Just a Run: Marathon Training and Conditioning.” At this evening event, you’ll learn Arthur Newton’s laws of running, how to use the Borg scale, and how to prevent overtraining. The result: You’ll (hopefully) be an injury-free, fine-tuned running machine by race day. The session is tailored for runners of all ability levels, so even seasoned marathoners should attend for a refresher.
