Inquirer and Daily News Writers Continue Squabble Over Eagles Coverage

Last year Les Bowen—the Eagles beat writer for the Daily Newspunched the Inquirer‘s Jeff McLane after the two had a little beef on Twitter. Today, McLane’s cover story revealed the official re-organization of the Eagles front office—headlined by the news that Joe Banner is no longer the team’s president. The fact that McLane got the exclusive on the “scoop” may not have spurred a Bowen vs. McLane rematch, there were some flares shot off on the Internets between writers for the city’s two papers after Bowen referred to McLane as “a representative for the Inquirer” as opposed to naming him directly.
