The couple: Katie Boosz and Bill Artzerounian, from Ambler.

The ring: My ring is from Benari Jewelers in Exton. We had discussed what I was looking for, and Bill nailed it. He found a beautifully simple solitaire in platinum. He did weeks of diamond research and told the folks at Benari exactly what he was looking for. They shipped in three different stones and the result is a classic round, ideal cut diamond that I couldn’t be any happier with.

The proposal: We took a trip to visit his parents in Saint Augustine, Florida. Bill took me out on a walkway that overlooks the bay in historic Saint Augustine. We had lunch plans so I wasn’t sure why we had to keep walking; we had been to this spot many times before.

What happened next was out of my own fairy tale—he hired an artist from Temple’s Tyler School or Art to create an illustrated book of “our story.”  The illustrations were of our favorite movie and TV couples (like Jim and Pam from The Office) and Bill added text to each page to tell how we fell in love. Once he handed me the book we both started crying. I knew he’d be down on one knee any minute, but we both held it together for the proposal!
 
We met Bill’s parents on the beach to share the amazing news. It was the most perfect day of my life.

The band: We will go back to Benari sometime soon to take a look at bands. I’m starting to think that I want something with a little more flash for the wedding band, since the engagement ring is classically simple.
