Registration for the 5,000 Yards Dash — the brand-new 2.84-mile race that will take runners to and from Yards Brewing Company this October — opens tomorrow. But you can register early (with a beer in your hand!) tonight.

At 6 p.m. this evening, the race is putting on a pre-registration party at Yards (901 North Delaware Avenue), and it includes a group run followed by $3 brews and the opportunity to register for the race — capped at around 1,500 participants, race organizers told us — before registration actually opens tomorrow morning.

The race sounds like it’s going to be a blast: It will take runners on a short-and-sweet course along Delaware Avenue, ending at Yards with live music, food trucks and free beer. So if that sounds like your jam, head to Yards at 6 p.m. tonight to guarantee your spot. And if you can’t make it tonight, set your alarm for tomorrow morning: Registration opens here at 10 a.m.
