On your wedding day, you will want to be prepared for everything, and having a few essentials on hand is key. But the newlyweds don’t necessarily need to carry the goods; your person of honor can be in charge of those details. Philly- and New York-based Benor & Beik co-founders and event planners Allie Beik and Tracey Goldstein Benor have some recs.

Pucker Up

Keep kissers looking fresh with backup lip gloss. If you don’t have the color used by the makeup artist, Beik suggests asking that artist to put a sample together. Saint Jane Luxury Lip Oil in Calm, $28 at Indie Shelf (Grad Hospital).

Sew Sweet

Scissors and sewing kits are the unsung heroes and help with everything from unwanted tags to ripped bustle loops. “It’s not a wedding day until someone asks for a quick stitch,” Beik says. Lexington Mend Travel Sewing Kit, $31 at Boxbar (Old City).

Shoe Love

You can only wear Christian Louboutins for so long before they start to pinch. A pair of comfortable flats is a must-have. A pro tip from Benor? “Bring a pair for you and one for the bride, in case she forgets.” Samara foldable ballet flats, $98 at yosisamra.com.

Handy Helpers

Someone will almost certainly need to stick a Band-Aid on the back of a heel by the end of the night. As for snacks? Couples often forget to eat, notes Benor, so throw a few nibbles in your bag. Welly flex-fabric bandages, $7 at getwelly.com; Rxbar, $28 for a 12-pack at rxbar.com.
