Casa Papel is Hosting a Series of Calligraphy Workshops

Heads up, DIY brides-to-be: We just caught wind of an exciting opportunity for those of you who are interested in addressing your own wedding invitations. Northern Liberties’ Casa Papel has partnered with local artist Meredith Langer to host a series of calligraphy workshops over the next few months.
During the two-hour class, Meredith will teach you the basics of traditional nib and ink calligraphy in addition to a few more experimental, modern styles
All of the supplies you’ll need—including a nib, nib holder, ink and paper—are provided, so you’ll just want to bring along a bottle of wine (or two) to sip on while you work.
The first class is on Saturday, January 16, from 6-8pm, and there are still a few seats available (classes are limited to 12 participants). Tickets are $61 and can be purchased online here. Stay tuned for additional workshop dates in February and March.
