12 Do’s and Don’ts For Making the Most of a Wedding Show
Wedding showcases and expos can be a really fantastic resource to jumpstart the planning process: Being able to check out a bunch of local vendors—not to mention a venue—at once is not only super convenient, but it gives you the opportunity to assess your options before sitting down with any particular person or company.
If you’ve never attended a bridal show before (check out our calendar for upcoming events in the area!), they can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you have no idea where to start. This can lead to wandering around aimlessly and wasting time—which is obviously not the goal, and why we found this list of tips for making the most of a wedding show to be extremely helpful.
The do’s and don’ts included on this list will provide you with a game plan for how best to tackle all of the wedding events you’re bound to attend: You’ll want to arrive early (but don’t waste your money on VIP tickets); grab freebies and taste samples; and come prepared with a list of the vendors there you want to make sure to talk to. Don’t skip a certain show just because the venue it’s being held at isn’t what you have in mind—you may be surprised once you take a tour in person. And, don’t forget the tip we picked up this season: bring along pre-printed address labels to make filling out registration forms a breeze.
Read all of the fantastic tips here, and good luck and happy planning for those of you attending shows this weekend!
