Remember a few weeks ago when I said that I was in a wedding planning lull? Well, that lull was short lived, and I have been one busy bride-to-be these last few weeks.

I am happy to announce that we’ve selected, approved proofs for and ordered our wedding invitations. (Special thanks to all of you who shared comments and advice on the matter!)

After getting an email from Minted.com offering me 15-percent off my order, I decided to browse their site more intently. I filtered the options by my colors, and looked at pages and pages of beautiful invitations. It wasn’t long before I found one that I absolutely loved, and started the customization process. What I love most about this particular design is that it includes space for both ceremony and reception information, eliminating the need for a reception insert!

Once I input all of our specific wedding information, I was able to view an instant preview of what the invites will look like. I was also able to make special requests to further customize the invitations, such as color adjustments and wording changes. Once you submit your order, Minted.con sends you a PDF proof within 24 hours. If, after viewing your proof, there are still changes you’d like to make, Minted.com allows up to two additional free proofs. After proof number two, we were thrilled with the look of our invitations, and are excitedly awaiting their arrival.

You can also customize insert cards with that same process. We’ve decided to add RSVP cards to our order. They also offer inserts for accommodations, directions, and even menus and programs for the big day!

Minted.com offered free shipping, which was a great bonus. My invitations should arrive within 6-8 business days.

This process was so easy and, so far, I’d totally recommend using a website to order your invites. I’ll confirm this once I get them in the mail and let you all know how they turn out!

Anyone else have great success with website invites?
