We didn’t think there was any way that as the last seconds of Villanova‘s Final Four match against Oklahoma ticked down last night, we’d find ourselves feeling sorry for the Sooners. But man oh man, did ‘Nova put a hurt on that team. (No Buddy saw that coming.) When it was all over, the score was 95-51, for the highest winning margin ever in a Final Four game. The Wildcats had tied their season scoring high, with an out-of-this-world shooting percentage of 71 (only 61 percent on three-pointers), and any doubters that these ’Cats were for real were left shaking their heads. Oh, and speaking of doubters, anyone who doesn’t think this is a real Philly team should go choke on a soft pretzel. Grit and grace are what these guys are made of. In the biggest game of their young lives, they came out on fire, and they never looked back. Mayor Kenney, cue that damned parade.
