Snow Will Make Wet, Slick Roads During Evening Commute

"Alberta Clipper" is bringing winter weather to the area.

Snow should be arriving in time to make your evening commute tricky, forecasters say, with an expected 1 to 3 inches expected in the Philadelphia region..

“The steadiest snow will fall during the evening commute, between 5pm and 8pm,” says CBS Philly. “With temperatures around freezing, it will be a wet, sloppy, snow that will reduce visibility at times and make for wet and slick roads.”

But we won’t get buried by the white stuff, John Bolaris forecasts. “Right now, it looks like the best chance of seeing one to two inches of snow would be in Philadelphia and across southern New Jersey and northern Delaware,” he reports at Philly.com. “It appears the city’s north and west suburbs should see only a coating to an inch. It’s a real fine line between getting an inch or two or just flurries.”

“Also, the Thursday morning rush hour will be slushy,” Fox 29 reports, and adds that this storm is just the beginning of a wave of winter weather. “According to FOX 29 Chief Meteorologist Scott Williams, the next storm is a possible Nor’easter and will impact the first half of the weekend.”

In the meantime, be careful on your commute.
