Shane Montgomery’s Parents Plead for Information About Son

The reward is up to $31,000 in the disappearance of West Chester University student Shane Montgomery.

The parents of Shane Montgomery — missing since Thanksgiving Eve — appeared on the Today show this morning to plead that anyone with information about Shane’s disappearance come forward.

“There is no way he just walked away and left me and Kevin and my family worried about him,” Karen Montgomery said on the show. “There’s no way.”

Montgomery left Kildare’s in Manayunk at around 1:50 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning. Action News reported a bouncer says he saw Montgomery about an hour later, saying he appeared to be in “good health.” The bar said Montgomery didn’t appear to be intoxicated when he left the bar, and his tab was only $17 (“three craft beers”). He hasn’t been seen since.

The FBI is involved in the investigation. A reward for information related to Montgomery’s disappearance is now at $31,000. Students at West Chester University, where Montgomery is a student, held a vigil last night.
