Listen: Throwing Shade Live in Philly

Podcasters Brian Safi and Erin Gibson release a recording of their recent taping at the Arts Bank.

My current favorite podcast, Throwing Shade, came to Philly in November to record a live show at the Arts Bank. If you made it out to see them, I’m super jealous. But for those who missed it, the second taping of the show was finally released for the world to hear this week. If you’re unfamiliar, Throwing Shade is a weekly podcast hosted by “Feminasty” Erin Gibson and “Homosensual” Brian Safi. The silly pair dish on hot topics pertaining to women and gays and then spend a few minutes deciding whether or not celebs who are currently in the news deserve “shade or no shade.”

In the Philly taping the duo sing a song they wrote just for the City of Brotherly Love, and talk about a troubling run-in with a security guard at the Liberty Bell who wouldn’t let them beat the crowds by slipping through the exit door. It’s hilarious. Check it out below.
