Police Altercation Caught on Tape. Another day, another viral video involving violent action from Philly’s Finest. This one, though, seems a bit more on the up-and-up, as an officer gets involved in a scuffle on South Street after a drunk guy supposedly hit a bouncer. The guy slaps the cop in the face and ends up on the wrong end of the officer’s nightstick. [Daily News]

1,500 Expected for Specter’s Funeral. Lower Merion police are expecting some serious traffic as they’re anticipate that 1,500 guests will turn out for Senator Arlen Specter’s funeral. Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to be on hand for the service at Har Zion Temple in Penn Valley on Tuesday. It’s open to the public, but cameras and recording devices are prohibited. Jersey Has the Lowest Divorce Rate. According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Garden State has the lowest divorce rate in the nation. Only, 9.1 percent of marriages end up in Splitsville. [New York Times]

Federal Officer Mugged in Center City. A federal officer was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital on Monday night after he was assaulted and robbed at 15th and JFK. He says two men attacked him, punched him in the face, and stole his laptop before fleeing the scene. [CBS 3]

More Women on Local Boards, Kind Of. Philadelphia-area, publicly-traded companies have more women on their boards than they did back in ’05. Exactly 10 more, to be precise. So, the women’s slice of the pie may have increased from 9.7 to 11.34, they only hold 94 of the available 828 seats. [Inquirer]
