New Sixer Andrew Bynum Out for Three Weeks

Andrew Bynum—the Sixers savior acquired when the team dealt Andre Iguodala to Denver over the summer—will miss three weeks of action. The Sixers decided to sit Bynum until the start of the season because the center underwent Orkothine therapy in Germany. An announcement from the team indicates that the decision was made in order to maximize the effect of the therapy. Philly opens the ’12-’13 season on October 22nd. [ESPN]
